LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A top high school football prospect and homegrown talent in the class of 2026 has decommitted from the University of Louisville.
St. Xavier senior linebacker Karsten Busch announced his decision on Monday after having "further conversation" with his family.
“I’m extremely proud to be born and raised from Louisville, Kentucky. I want to thank the University of Louisville for recruiting me, especially Coach Brohm, Coach Ivey and Coach Marrow,” he said on X .
According to 247Sports, Busch is a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 1 player in Kentucky.
Busch is among three 2026 prospects to decommit from Louisville since last week. According to Sports Illustrated, Lebanon (OH) tight end Nick Lautar switched to Ohio State on Nov. 16, and Des Moines (Iowa) Valley safet
