HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - There’s an update on a story we’ve been following in Henderson County.
Owners of Farmer and Frenchman want to open a six unit bed and breakfast on their property.
They were denied in August because of zoning issues.
At the Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday, the Director of Tourism asked the court to consider an update to an ordinance that would allow for more agritourism.
“Farmer and Frenchman’s plans have obviously brought this conversation forward. There’s no doubt about that, but it’s important to emphasize that an update an ordinance regarding farm stays. It’s not just about one business. It’s about any current or future agritourism operations who may also want to operate lodging experience consistent with the state law,” said Abby Dixon.
