Everything announced in the budget for Greater Manchester
The two-child benefit cap will be abolished in a move which is expected to lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, including many in Greater Manchester. A raft of measures aimed at easing the cost of living was also announced - although income tax and national insurance tax thresholds have been frozen meaning more people will pay higher rates of tax.
The budget also includes billions of pounds that will be coming to Greater Manchester through several pots of funding. This includes £2.5bn over the next three years in the integrated settlement which gives the mayor more flexibility over spending.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority will also have access to a new Local Growth Fund and a Mayoral Revol
