On Wednesday at 12:37 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from Thursday 7 a.m. until Saturday 1 a.m. for Steuben County.

The weather service states to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact Thanksgiving holiday travel," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling.
