ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A day after a KLM Asia flight from Atlanta to Amsterdam was canceled because of an unruly passenger , a Delta Air Lines flight covering the same route was forced to return to Atlanta, the airline said.

The airline said DL72 returned to Atlanta after a “mechanical issue” with an air conditioning pack. FlightAware data shows the A330 took off around 5:22 p.m. and made it to just outside Mooresville, North Carolina, before returning to Atlanta.

The aircraft landed back in Atlanta at 6:41 p.m.

Delta said customers would be put on another aircraft after arriving back in Atlanta.

The flight was scheduled to take off again at 8:10 p.m.
