ASHTABULA — The 27th Main Avenue Miracle Mile was truly a family event on Thursday morning as dozens of families came downtown to help others less fortunate.

The family emphasis was even more evident when Austin Dean bested his brother, Jacob, to win the overall race in a time of 5:22, and Emily Deering won the women’s race in a time of 6:44, while pregnant.
