OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Many are winding down today with full bellies after spending hours with friends and family.

Whether by choice or by duty, others spent the day at work.

One man is choosing to make it his duty to cook a Thanksgiving meal for strangers.

Some people go a lifetime without doing what they love for a living.

Good thing Blane Hunter, owner of Porky Butts BBQ, has a one track mind.

“We did a lot of BBQ fundraisers, and that’s how they paid for inner city kids to compete in baseball,” Blane said, referencing his childhood with his father in Texas. “What my dad would do is sell BBQ plates and raise money, and that’s kind of what started the whole passion for BBQ.”

His mother in law would feed the homeless every weekend.
