OVERISEL TWP, MI — One passenger died and two more individuals — including a 14-month-old child — were transported to area hospitals following a head-on collision between two vehicles on Thanksgiving Day in west Michigan.

Officials reported Allegan County Sheriff’s Office deputies at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, responded to reports of the collision on 142 nd Avenue near 41 st Street in Overisel Township, where a pickup truck and car crashed west of the intersection.

The front-seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said in a statement. There was no additional information about the deceased individual at the time of publication, as officials continue to reach out to family members of the individual.
