President Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving message took a hard turn into political combat after he used a slur to attack Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in a lengthy Truth Social tirade.
The post, published minutes before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, Nov. 26, opened as a holiday greeting before veering into immigration, Minnesota’s refugee population, and an extended attack on Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar — using choice words.
In the middle of the message, Trump referred to Walz as “the seriously re----ed Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz,” accusing him of doing nothing “either through fear, incompetence, or both.”
Trump’s post stretched across multiple paragraphs, touching on the foreign-born population, Somalia, immigration benefits, and crime.
In the same message, he wrote that “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota.”
He also targeted Rep. Ilhan Omar, writing that she was “always wrapped in her swaddling hijab,” and added, “you are not allowed to marry your brother.”
The full post was published to the president’s Truth Social account and remains publicly visible.
Walz responded on X with a single sentence.
“Release the MRI results.”
The exchange quickly gained traction online, as Trump’s wording and choice of language overshadowed the rest of the Thanksgiving message.
