The heated exchange came following the news of the identification of the suspected shooter of two guards by the White House . It is understood that the individual travelled to the US under Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome scheme after the fall of Kabul in 2021.

On Thursday (November 27), CBS News White House correspondent Nancy Cordes asked the President at Mar-a-Lago about his claims. She began: “A question about this tragic shooting in Washington DC. US officials say that the suspect worked very closely with the CIA and Afghanistan for years, that he was vetted, and that he came up clean.”
