BEMIDJI, Minn. — The last time UND and Bemidji State played a two-game series where neither contest went to overtime was October 2016.
"Was that (Brock) Boeser?" Bemidji State coach Tom Serratore said.
Yes, it was.
"We had that one," Serratore said.
Bemidji State was up 2-0 late in the second period, but UND's Boeser scored three goals in a row to win it 3-2. The winning goal came with 7:08 left on a penalty shot after a questionable-at-best hooking call. UND won the next night by one goal again.
Since then, all seven series have had at least one overtime game. Eight of the last nine have featured an overtime game.
The last time UND and Bemidji State played a series where there was not a one-goal game was 2010-11, assistant coach Dillon Simpson's freshman season.
