A 57-year-old Suffolk businessman has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl in his Indian restaurant.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday was Abdul Hoque , of First Avenue, Sudbury, who was convicted by majority verdict of sexual activity with a child and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
The jury were unable to return a verdict for two other counts of sexual activity with a child and the case has been relisted on December 8 for further management.
The offences were alleged to have been committed between 2006 and 2009, however the defendant denied all allegations.
The victim, who is now in her twenties, said she believed she had been sexually assaulted by Hoque between the ages of 13 and 16.
