Christmas tree farm owners in Michigan are expecting another season of high demand, so some in the southeastern area of the state have bought pre-cut trees from other farms to boost their inventory.
Huron Christmas Tree Farm in Huron Township, which opened Nov. 22, brought in 350 pre-cut trees from a grower in Cheboygan County, said Chad Zeien, who works at the farm his father-in-law owns. He said the farm has been “blessed with great business” in recent years, so their highest-quality trees sell quickly.
“We got a lot of good trees,” Zeien said, “but it doesn’t take long, and they get picked through pretty quick.”
