Volunteer work wasn’t always a part of Donna Weinberger’s life.
Weinberger, a Solon resident, told the Cleveland Jewish News that when it comes to getting civically involved in one’s community, “sometimes, it comes later.” Weinberger’s late start was partly due to being busy working and raising her children, she said, but also because finding the right fit organizationally proved challenging.
Weinberger said when she first set out to find ways to make a change in her community, she became frustrated at the lack of strategy involved in most volunteer efforts. As a big-picture thinker, she needed long-term goals to work toward, which is what eventually led her to join Greater Cleveland Congregation’s fight for social justice.
