STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two individuals were removed from a tent set up inside a Staten Island park on Thanksgiving Day, according to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
On Thursday morning, New York City Parks Enforcement Patrol observed an adult male and adult female inside a tent at Silver Lake Park, near Forest Avenue and Victory Boulevard, according to the city Parks Department.
The individuals were both offered homeless services, but refused. The patrol informed them of park rules and regulations and asked the individuals to leave the park with their belongings, according to the agency.
As they left the park, the female had difficulty walking. Patrol called emergency medical services, which responded and brought the female to Richmond University Medical Center in W
