The victim of a homicide in Halifax, N.S., this past Wednesday was someone who was familiar with police.
Halifax Regional Police identified the victim as Troy Clayton, 59.
“The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and identified the victim as 59-year-old Troy Clayton from Halifax,” Const. Martin Cromwell said in a news release.
Clayton was previously sentenced to a six-year prison stint for killing a Halifax man with a single punch.
Cops received reports of an injured man on Wednesday morning on Gottingen St. He was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries, the Halifax Chronicle Herald reported.
