ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department says a man has died after a shooting at a shopping plaza on the west side of Atlanta.

Officers say they received the call of a person shot on Saturday, around 12:07 p.m. at 3050 Martin Luther King Jr Drive SW. When they arrived, they found a 17-year-old male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.

Grady EMS arrived at the scene, but despite lifesaving efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

According to Atlanta Police, the teen was shopping when an argument between him and several other people led to gunfire.

Homicide investigators with APD responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
