RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Hundreds of shoppers packed West Cary Street on Saturday to grab discounted gifts for Small Business Saturday.
The annual nationwide event highlights small businesses across the nation and their importance to the community. This year, experts say the day of savings is more important than ever as many stores continue to feel the impacts of a complex economy.
People were in and out of shops off West Cary Street, many looking to take advantage of the Black Friday weekend deals.
The Blue Butterfly Boutique was open Saturday and owner Chynna Trinh says it’s a good time for small businesses to catch up on revenue. Just like regular customers, they’ve been dealing with the uncertainty of tariffs and inflation.
