WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - On Black Friday, larger stores got the spotlight, but Saturday was all about the little guy!
“We want to support them so that they stay in the area so we get quality merchandise and not something from a chain,” said local shopper Gwen Decker.
The Paddock Arcade in Watertown was transformed into a Christmas market for the celebration Saturday. More than 20 local vendors set up shop there. You could buy toys, custom crafted wood kitchenware, crystals, and a whole lot more.
The event was brought to life with the help of local non-profit “Watertown First,” and a little Christmas magic.
“It’s really just about bringing everyone together and sharing our great community and the wealth that we have,” said Watertown First Board Member Gregory Stickel.
