HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Saturday after Black Friday is the day of the holiday shopping season that focuses on small businesses, which make up the vast majority of businesses in Hawaii.

Spreading holiday cheer is what Jim Finnegan thinks about as he makes his way down Waialae Avenue.

“As a letter carrier, we’re just one of Santa’s little helpers,” said U.S. Postal Service letter carrier Jim Finnegan.

“It’s really great when you come up to a door, and you knock on that door, and you got that parcel, and you go ‘hey I got a parcel for John Smith’ and they go ‘oh I’ve been waiting for this’ you see the happiness. It’s a good feeling. It’s a great job,” Finnegan said.
