SEARCY — Andrew Miller enjoyed what he did to one Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association foe so much last week, he decided to do it to another Saturday.
The junior fullback ran for 172 yards and scored three touchdowns, including a crushing 44-yarder with 4:49 left in the third quarter that stunted any momentum Pittsburg (Kan.) State had generated and effectively closed the door on Harding’s 37-21 victory in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs at First Security Stadium.
Miller, who rushed for 195 yards on 33 carries during a 38-16 win over Northwest Missouri State in the first round last week, ran the ball 26 times against Pittsburg State (10-3). He opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown in the first quarter and tacked on a 32-yarder to end the opening series
