PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - A 42-year-old man was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Wednesday afternoon at a residence on Cricket Drive, according to the Russell County Coroner’s Office.
Joseph Tassoni was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:37 p.m. at 42 Cricket Dr., Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said.
Phenix City Police says three juveniles have been arrested in connection with the death of Tassoni. Their names and mugshots will not be released because of their age.
Tassoni’s body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The case remains under investigation by the Phenix City Police Department and the Russell County Coroner’s Office and is being treated as a homicide.
