SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies go as quarterback Demond Williams Jr. goes.
For that reason, Oregon entered Husky Stadium on Saturday intent on keeping the 5-foot-11 elusive dual-threat in check.
“That’s probably the hardest guy in the nation to track in the pocket,” UO coach Dan Lanning said.
Yet, for the second consecutive season, Oregon made the task appear relatively easy during a 26-14 win to send the Ducks to the College Football Playoff.
The Ducks (11-1, 8-1 Big Ten) sacked Williams four times while limiting him to 27 yards rushing and 129 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The differences in wins and losses are stark for Williams.
The UW signal caller entered the game averaging 275.6 passing yards and 69.4 rushing yards in the Huskies’ eight victories.
