MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The city is planning this year a new way to ring in the holiday season.
Holiday Fest is an outdoor event to be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and centered at the city’s Aquatic & Community Center, 6080 Marsol Road.
The family-friendly celebration is free to attend, and will also include some activities that will be available for a fee.
Complimentary attractions will be a music from a high-energy DJ, ice carvings, a photo with Santa Claus, a story with Mrs. Claus, Smores, crafts, a photo booth, and kids games.
Activities and items available for a fee will include horse-drawn wagon rides, food trucks, Classic Kettle Corn and other sweet treats, a bar for attendees who are 21 and older, and a gingerbread house contest.
