One lane is closed on a major road through Devon after an accident on Sunday morning.

The incident happened on the A30 eastbound near the junction with the A382 at Whiddon Down at about 11am.

The exact cause of the accident, and how many vehicles were involved, is unclear at this stage.

The incident could cause severe delays on the vital route through the heart of Devon, with traffic queues already forming.
