Police have launched an investigation after Ben Whittaker's home was burgled while he was boxing live on television.

The Olympic medallist returned home following his stunning Matchroom debut to discover his Wednesbury home broken into.

Alongside smashing a window, the 28-year-old revealed that burglars had taken his IBF belt.

West Midlands Police has appealed for information in the wake of the burglary.

A force spokesperson said: "We are investigating after a home was broken into in Wednesbury shortly after midnight today (Sun) with property stolen.
