BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Shiloh Ezderman poured in a career-high 21 points and Tottenville earned its first win of the season with a 58-48 non-league victory over host John Jay on Saturday.
Ezderman surpassed his previous high by 10 points thanks in part to nine field goals, including his fourth career three-pointer, and a pair of free throws.
Danny Garcia and Elias Souleidis added 12 points apiece and Abdelrahman Hassan chipped in with eight for the Pirates as they evened their record at 1-1.
The teams battled to an 8-8 deadlock after one period, but the Pirates slowly but surely gained control after outscoring the Jaguars 37-29 in the middle two quarters. Garcia (10 points), Ezderman (nine points) and Souleidis (eight points) led the surge.
Tottenville then put the game on ice behind Ezderma
