IRMO, S.C. — Authorities say a woman was taken to the hospital on Saturday night after the accidental discharge of a gun in an Irmo grocery store parking lot.
A spokesperson for the town of Irmo said the incident happened around 6 p.m. outside the Food Lion grocery store on Saint Andrews Road. Police said the woman was moving her gun while in a car outside the store when it fired.
Irmo officials said the victim was taken to an area hospital for injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening.
