MARTINSBURG – Approximately one hundred people filled the pews of Pikeside United Methodist Church on Saturday in a vigil for the two West Virginia National Guardsmen who were shot in Washington D.C. earlier this week.
The two guardsmen, Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe, a native of the Eastern Panhandle and graduate of Musselman High School, were both shot about a block away from the White House earlier this week. Beckstrom died from her injuries on Thursday night, while Wolfe remains hospitalized.
