Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin is now scheduled to meet with his players at 1 p.m. on Sunday after it was originally reported that the meeting would take place at 9 a.m., ESPN reports.

The Advocate has learned that LSU officials are confident that Kiffin will formally accept the Tigers' head coaching job, and that the hire could take place as early as Sunday morning.

However, Kiffin has a reputation for being unpredictable, and there was no report of a signed contract as of Sunday morning.

Kiffin's representatives spoke with LSU officials Saturday evening in an effort to line up flights to bring Kiffin and his family from Oxford, Mississippi, to Baton Rouge on Sunday, a source with knowledge of the plans confirmed.
