MADISON (WKOW) — Curbside leaf collection in Madison has been suspended for the season, with the next pickup scheduled for spring 2026, according to a press release from the city.

A severe snowstorm has caused staff from the leaf collection department to divert to snow cleanup.

With future forecasts predicting more snow, leaf collection will discontinue.

The Streets Division drop-off sites will resume their regular hours on Monday after closing on Nov. 30 to aid in snowstorm response.

If better weather happens before Christmas, leaf collection may resume. However, residents are advised not to expect this.

Springtime yard waste set out dates will be announced early next year.
