PLATTEVILLE (WKOW) -- The UW-Platteville Pioneers earned their first playoff win since 2013 on Saturday, defeating Alma College 24-7 in a snowy and windy affair. With the victory, Platteville moves on to the third round of the NCAA Division 3 football championship bracket.

Running back Zack Bothun ran for 148 yards to lead the Pioneers' offense, while sophomore quarterback Nate Uselding went 21-32 passing for 216 yards and a touchdown, also adding a rushing touchdown.

"I had a lot of fun, mostly because we won," Uselding said. "If we would have lost, it wouldn't have been fun, but it was fun watching the guys — handing off to running backs and seeing them dance in the snow and make moves. Pretty slow moves, but moves, so it was fun."
