Upper Allen Township Police arrested the same man within 24 hours after he posted bail for assault charges and returned to assault the same victim, police said.

Travis J Brown, 30, of Mechanicsburg, was charged with felony strangulation, felony robbery, theft, two charges of simple assault, two charges of harassment in the two arrests.

Police said they first responded to a home in the 400 block of Garden Drive around 9:35 a.m. on Thanksgiving and determined that Brown strangled and physically assaulted a woman.

Police took Brown to Cumberland County Booking Center, and online court documents show he was originally held at Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
