A Shildon dad who asked an underage girl to send an explicit picture of herself has walked free from court.
Jonathan Moore was also accused of sending a series of sexual messages to the same person but she had turned 16 by that point.
Teesside Crown Court heard how the 35-year-old’s life had been investigated by social services following his convictions and they raised no concerns about his parenting ability.
Brian Russell, prosecuting, said: “The incidents spanned the child’s 16th birthday so he stands to be sentenced for a text message where he asked her to ‘get her **** out’ when she was 15.
“The more serious matters in which he sent images and invited whether she wished to see a picture of his penis were shortly after her 16th birthday.
“Clearly, he can’t be sentenced for that but
