Siena withstood Maine's red-hot second-half shooting to earn a 64-60 non-conference victory in the last round of the Capital Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday in Washington, D.C.
Siena (7-2) led 36-25 at half, but Maine (0-9) chipped away, closing the gap to one, 61-60, on a 3-pointer by Logan Carey with 25 seconds left. Justice Shoats made one of two foul shots seven seconds later, then after a Maine miss from the paint with 5 seconds left, Francis Folefac grabbed the rebound, was fouled and sank both for the final margin.
