WENATCHEE, Wash. – Wenatchee Police Department (WPD) officers were investigating a high-speed collision at the South Chelan Ave s-curves, according to WPD via Facebook.

The incident began when officers spotted a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. An attempt to stop the car was made, but the driver eluded the officers. Due to excessive speed, officers decided to discontinue their efforts to stop the car.

Despite this, the driver continued to drive recklessly, resulting in a single-vehicle collision.

As a result of the crash, South Chelan Avenue at Spokane is currently blocked. Authorities are advising drivers to seek alternate routes.
