PORTLAND, Ore. — The end of Thanksgiving meant a heavy travel weekend at airports across the U.S., including at Portland International Airport (PDX), compounded by winter storms in the Midwest.
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), 17.8 million people are expected to travel between Nov. 25 and Dec. 2, with Sunday being the busiest day. In Oregon, more than 367,000 travelers are expected to pass through PDX in that time frame, a slight increase from last year, according to the Port of Portland.
The Port of Portland said Sunday and Monday are expected to be the busiest travel days, with 58,700 travelers expected on Sunday and 59,000 on Monday. The agency advised that people arrive two hours early and bring their Real ID , as it's the first Thanksgiving in which
