The advisory was active for Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.

"Winds have diminished below advisory thresholds, therefore the Wind Advisory will be allowed to expire. Scattered wind gusts of 30-40mph will be possible across Western NY for the next couple of hours, but will continue to subside overnight," according to the National Weather Service.
