On Monday at 1:19 a.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Oneida and Cortland counties.
The weather service adds to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations up to 7 inches."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," says the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
