The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 12:55 a.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany and Erie counties.
The weather service says to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations 4 to 6 inches."
"Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service. "Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving."
