With no games left to play and a 12-team playoff field still to figure out, Michigan football’s bowl destination is starting to come into focus.

The 9-3 Wolverines are expected to attract the attention of the Big Ten’s most high-profile, non-playoff games, with the Dec. 31 Citrus Bowl the popular pick among bowl prognosticators.

National outlets ESPN, CBS Sports, On3 and Sports Illustrated, among others, have Michigan returning to the Orlando, Fla.-based bowl game played at Camping World Stadium. The Wolverines last played in the Citrus Bowl following the 2019 season.

With Ohio State, Indiana and Oregon in line for playoff bids this year, that leaves 9-3 Michigan and USC as the Big Ten’s next best teams in line for bowl bids. The Citrus Bowl, contractually obligated to feature a Big Ten
