A woman who was just days away from giving birth has been found dead in woodland and police are now urgently searching for her missing baby. ‌

Rebecca Park, 22, vanished after leaving her mother’s home on the night of November 4. She was 38 weeks pregnant at the time. Witnesses reported seeing her get into the passenger seat of a dark-coloured vehicle before she disappeared and her phone was later found abandoned nearby. ‌

Nearly two weeks passed with no sign of her. Then, officers discovered Rebecca’s body around 50 miles away in Manistee National Fores in Michigan, US. A post-mortem confirmed that her baby was no longer with her and detectives are continuing to treat the infant’s whereabouts as a top priority, reports the Mirror. ‌
