CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was hit and killed in a Charlotte crash, and police are still searching for the driver.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called out to reports of a hit and run around 5:43 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, on North Tryon Street, close to Sprunt Street.
Howard Charles Pomitz III was found in the roadway and died from his injuries at the crash site.
According to police, the suspected car was a black Chevrolet Cruze last seen headed north down North Tryon.
