CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte woman won $150,000 off a lottery ticket from a South End convenience store last week.

Sharon Howard bought her lucky $5 Xtreme Cashword voucher from Stop & Go on South Tryon Street.

“I still feel like I’m in a dream,” she said. "I always get the crossword tickets. I just love crosswords. They are fun.”

When Howard claimed her prize at lottery headquarters on Wednesday, Nov. 26, she took home $107,626 after taxes.

“I never could’ve imagined this,” she said. “I’ve never won anything like this before.”

Howard said she plans to use her winnings to pay off her mortgage.
