Jackson police are investigating the city’s 57th homicide.
According to JPD Detective Tommie Brown, precinct 2 officers responded to the 200 block of Sollitt Street where they found a 23-year-old man who had been shot.
The victim was transported by AMR to UMMC but later died from his injuries.
His identity has not yet been released.
