An Indian national on a student visa is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed two 17-year-old boys with a fork on an international flight in October, causing the plane to be diverted to Logan airport, according to court records.
Praneeth K. Usiripalli, 28, faces two felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon aboard an aircraft, according to federal court records. He is set to be arraigned in federal court on Dec. 3.
A court-appointed attorney listed for Usiripalli did not immediately return a request for comment on Wednesday afternoon.
