On Monday at 12:19 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome and Delaware counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Localized amounts around 8 inches possible over the higher elevation, especially in Otsego and Delaware counties. Snowfall rates around 1 inch per hour are expected during the morning hours."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," states the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
