At 12:31 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm warning valid from Tuesday 7 a.m. until Wednesday 1 a.m. for Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Ulster, Warren and Washington counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 7 and 11 inches," can be expected according to the weather service. "Moderate to heavy snow will impact the evening commute Tuesday. Snowfall rates of 0.5' to 1' are expected within the warned areas. Caution is advised for all motorists."
