ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — We're learning more information about human remains that were found in rural Allegan County last month.

Troopers were first called out the the 600 block of Lincoln Road on Nov. 13 on a missing person's report and welfare check. Authorities found human remains that afternoon.

On Monday, Michigan State Police identified the remains belonging to a missing 48-year-old woman from Allegan County. Police say her cause of death is unknown and the investigation remains open pending lab results and findings from the medical examiner.
