A Birmingham-based healthcare development company has completed a multi-million project in Lake City, Fla.

The Sanders Trust has announced that the $31 million ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lake City is now open and providing care.

The 45,000-square-foot rehab hospital includes 36 beds, with all private rooms, a gym for one-on-one therapy, a dining room with a dedicated chef and living space. There is also an outdoor courtyard with rehab walking terrains.

Located on a 7.5-acre site south of West U.S. 90, the hospital is expected to treat more than 650 patients a year suffering from strokes, brain and spinal injuries and other medically-complex conditions.

The Sanders Trust was selected as the developer. MJ Harris was the contractor, working from plans by architect Studio+.
